Have two they said - It will be fun they said”

No it's not what I expected it to be but is anything? Not saying it has been bad and not saying it's been a breeze. It was a massive shocker for us. In the early newborn phase, yeh it was fine. Eat, feed and sleep right? It's when the 2nd started moving that we found things becoming more challenging because guess what? They aren't going to be the same as your first!!

When Nathan was born, Hailey had just turned 2 and was like "oh wow a baby" and that was it. She wasn't really interested, she saw him as a potato that sat in a chair, made little noises, and was attached to mummy a lot, especially because I breastfeed. Jealous you're thinking? well she wasn't jealous either. We wanted the age gap close and I think the disadvantage was that Hailey wasn't totally understanding whereas now she's 3 she's so switched on.

Hailey was such an easy baby, she didn't cry and you could take her anywhere day or night. Here in Spain, it's totally acceptable to go out at night with your kids so we carried on enjoying our evenings out having dinner and drinks with friends until she hit around 1.5 years old then it was time for routine because we needed adult time back but I was also pregnant with Nathan. Up until this age, Hailey was chilled.....

Out for dinner? OK

Shopping? OK

I'm tired, let's nap? OK

Watch TV? OK

Sit in your crib and chill for a bit? OK

Play quietly with your toys? OK

The only thing is that she did not fully sleep through till 14 months. but with Nathan.... total opposite.

He's clingy, loud, screams for anything and everything, needs a lot of attention, doesn't like TV (I know right?), throws toys, throws food, throws anything actually BUT he is so dam cute and the sweetest little lad (Nursery say how chilled he is.....). Have two they said.... it will be fun they said.....

When Nathan doesn't get the attention he needs oh he shows it. He's cheeky, I'm going to be honest, I have always called him a little f*cker because well, he is. He's cheeky, a terror you could say. He has us on the go constantly, climbing up stuff he shouldn't, standing on the sofa and laughing at us panic waiting for him to fall, winding his sister up.

I think this video gives you a glimpse into his character....

I know I am not alone when I say this, but I did worry how it is possible to love another baby because I was OBSESSED with Hailey but you just do... the love grows and in different ways too.

Even on the hardest of days, I love my kids more and more and I wouldn't change a single thing.... Well maybe the screaming, I'm so over that oh and the throwing... ha!
